Sani Abacha’s son, Abdullahi dies at 36 in Abuja

Sani Abacha’s son Abdullahi, son of deceased former head of state, has passed away. He was 36.

His sister, Gumsu Abacha, revealed this in a tweet on Saturday.

The article claims that Abdullahi passed away in the morning.

“Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un. I lost my younger brother Abdullahi Sani Abacha,” she wrote.

Gumi claimed her younger brother passed away peacefully. She urged people to remember him in their prayers.

“May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him jannatul firdous, Ameen. Please include him in your prayers,” she added.

Abdullahi’s remains will be buried at Gudu Cemetery later today after a prayer at the Central Mosque in Abuja, she adds.

The military dictator’s second-to-last son, Abdullahi, passed away on Friday night in Abuja.

He passed away quietly in his sleep at the family’s Nelson Mandela Street home, according to a family source also verified his death on Saturday, according to the Abuja Daily Nigeria.

“He was hale and hearty last night, but was found dead this morning. He died peacefully in his sleep,” said the source.

On Saturday at the National Mosque in Abuja, the funeral prayer took place at 4 p.m.

The deceased was one of the nine children the late military leader left behind; he was born in 1987.
