Rihanna first revealed that she was expecting her first child with Rocky, 33, in January 2022. A source told PEOPLE that Rihanna is “excited to be a mom” and “couldn’t be happier” after she was photographed showing off her baby bump in New York City.

“Everything Rihanna does, she does it her way and on her own timetable, and having a baby is no different,” the source said, adding that the couple was overjoyed about their impending baby.

“They’re just like any other couple of soon-to-be parents. Yes, they’re famous, but they’re also the cutest, giddy young couple expecting children.”

Rihanna kicked off her much-anticipated Super Bowl performance with “B—- Better Have My Money,” and she also performed “Run This Town” and “Umbrella” on Sunday.

Before welcoming their first child, Rihanna told Elle that, as a fan of The Real Housewives franchise, she believes her parenting style will be similar to Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“Teresa from Jersey is serious about her children. She’ll make you feel bad about those kids. And that really resonates with me because I feel like that’s the kind of mom I’m going to be,” Rihanna told the outlet. “It’s a bit psycho.”
