RHONY: Ramona Singer’s alleged racist comment that canceled season 13 reunion

Because of Ramona Singer’s alleged racist remark, the season 13 reunion of The Real Housewives of New York City, RHONY was canceled, and Bravo was forced to open an investigation into racism.

According to a production source, Ramona said, “This is why we shouldn’t have black people on the show” in reference to Eboni K. Williams after Luann de Lesseps kicked Eboni out of her home.

Ramona denied making the comments. “I never said that. It’s a terrible lie. It’s very disappointing that even after my name was cleared that people still want to slander me.”

Ramona explained that she had signed a non-disclosure agreement and hence couldn’t give her side of the tale.

According to PageSix, Ramona had to go through sensitivity training after the incident, but a second source told the publication that all of the Real Housewives cast members go through similar programs.
