RHOL: Did Iyabo Ojo Play A Fair Game By Belittling Faith Morey?

The season 2 of the ‘Real House Wives of Lagos’ made it to our screens with it’s glitz and glamour. The exchange between Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo and popular model, Faith Morey reveals some contempt. Read also: Stop showing us your man’s cars, show yours – Faith Morey slams Iyabo Ojo

In one of the clips, Iyabo Ojo was spotted saying that Faith doesn’t belong to their team because she was brought on the show through a friend. The former thus demanded respect from the latter.

This has been drawing criticism from netizens who felt Iyabo was unfair with her words.

Few days before the rift was aired, Laura Ikeji, one of the housemates on the show, took to her Instagram page and noted that ‘oppresors sometimes try to fight on behalf of the oppresed whilst they themselves are oppressors’.

This came during the heat of late singer Mohbad’ death. Iyabo and Tonto Dikeh were the frontliners in demanding justice for Mohbad. The former went further by publicly calling out Naira Marley, his former record label boss and his pal, Sam Larry. Read also: Disloyalty: Was there a relationship between Iyabo Ojo and Naira Marley?

Iyabo Ojo is at the frontline describing Naira Marley and Sam Larry as oppressors. In lieu of this, social media users felt that she is also an oppressor fighting another oppressor. While some came to defend her, this got me asking whether the show was scripted?

Guess Iyabo’ response, she noted that even though the show wasn’t scripted, it has a theme which housemates must meet to entertain viewers.

Faith seems to be the type that doesn’t let go easily. Recently Iyabo Ojo shared a video wherein she flaunted her lover, Paul Okoye’ car.

Faith who seems unpleased advised her to flaunt her own car instead of her lover’ own.

Personally Iyabo is an activist right from time, always fighting the cause of the oppresed. For instance when Princess and Baba Ijesha’ case blew up she supported the minor; kudos to her for that. She is among the few Nollywood actresses who openly demanded justice for Comedienne Princess’s fourteen year old daughter who was sexually harassed.

Iyabo is one of my favorites in the industry. If I will be fair the words she used on Faith Morey were harsh, and belittling.

Oh yes! It wasn’t a game but Iyabo didn’t play a fair card.
