The 31-year-old music entrepreneur died of a heart attack in February after consuming cocaine and alcohol.

Jamal, who helped launch the careers of global superstar Ed Sheeran and grime artist Stormzy, was reportedly worth between £8 million and £335 million, but according to official documents, he left a gross estate of £45,502.76 and a net estate of zero after paying his debts.

According to the reports, the YouTube star hired leading celebrity lawyers Russells to draft his will and had promised his estate to his family, which included his mother, Brenda, a Loose Women panellist, his father, Patrick, his sister Tanisha, two aunts, and a close friend.

He signed his will on February 20, 2020, two years before his death, and established a trust fund to distribute his estate, but his beneficiaries will receive nothing.

In 2006, Jamal founded the pioneering online music platform SBTV, which was credited with launching the careers of a number of UK music stars, including singer Jessie J.

His channel, which he used to upload content of emerging talent, grew to over 1 million subscribers and featured Emeli Sande and Rita Ora.

He was also an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, a charity founded by King Charles, and was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his contributions to music.

According to an inquest held in August, music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards died of a cardiac arrest following a late-night cocaine and drinking session during which he became paranoid and began throwing objects around the room before falling unconscious.

Three small snap bags containing white powder remnants were discovered on Jamal after he collapsed at his west London home in February this year, the hearing heard.

Assistant West London Coroner Ivor Collett ruled today that Jamal died as a result of a cardiac arrest caused by cocaine and alcohol.

There was also MDMA in Jamal’s urine but not in his blood, indicating that he had recently used the drug – but not on the night of his death.

Met Police Detective Sergeant Luke Taylor said in a statement, ‘There were no signs of trauma to either party.’

‘Three small snap bags with remnants of a white powder and bloody tissues, associated with the use of Class A drugs, were discovered in his pocket.’

‘He had a cardiac episode as a result of using recreational drugs and alcohol.’
