Regina Daniels clarifies ’20 boyfriends’ remark

Actress Regina Daniels has provided clarification on her previous comments regarding having 20 boyfriends prior to her marriage to businessman and politician Senator Ned Nwoko.

Earlier this week, in a live video, Regina shared the story of how she met Nwoko, highlighting that her mother and other family members were initially against their relationship because of the age gap.

She humorously mentioned meeting Nwoko while on a sightseeing trip with one of her “20 ex-boyfriends.”

“When I started with my husband, I forgot about boyfriends. I had like 20. When people think I didn’t have a choice, I’m like, ‘What?’” she remarked, stirring conversations online, especially since Nwoko previously stated that Regina was a virgin when he married her.

Following the reactions, Regina took to Instagram on Wednesday to clarify her statement.

She explained that her comment was intended to educate young girls about healthy boundaries in relationships.

“Hey everyone, I want to clarify the ’20 boyfriend’ issue. My intention was to soothe my husband and educate young girls that having male friends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them anything. And yes, I did make a promise to keep my virginity until marriage, and I kept it. It’s a big flex,” she wrote.

The actress continued saying, “What did you guys expect? It was your little sweetheart, Regina Daniels. Of course, men and women would admire me. So everyone, chill please.”

Regina and Nwoko got married in 2019 and have since welcomed two sons.
