According to some media reports, the EFCC seized the car because it was allegedly given to the woman by a Ponzi scheme operator named Michael, who also allegedly made illegal money off of it. Michael allegedly gave her the car, and it was seized as a result.

Nengi responded to the news on Thursday, September 1 in a tweet, alleging that Twitter influencers had been paid to spread the rumours about her.

She wrote: “Wake up ooo.. I say make I remind una.. it’s a new day to drag NENGI .. you can’t be tired already .. where are all dem PAID Twitter influencers? NO POST TODAY??”

On July 20 of last year, the social media influencer posted on Instagram to reveal that she had just bought a Range Rover.

On March 24, the Bayelsa native also responded to the rumour that Micheal, who is married with children, was having an affair.

The reality star and actress Nancy Isime, according to controversial blogger GistLover, are funded by the same person. The blogger further asserted that Nengi was close with the man’s wife.

Nengi responded by telling the blogger to stop talking about her in an Instagram post.

She wrote: “Get my pretty name outta your mouth.”

Nengi Warns critics

Impressed by her approach to the saga, a fan Angel Cally commended her saying,” It how you ignore and till step out looking like a snack, this should be emulated.”

Another fan Queen Fassy wrote: “They can’t do without the queen of clout. They need to grow their new blog. Nengi buys watch na man. Nengi buys car na man, Nengi bys pant na man, Nengi buy house na man, they for kukuma say na man bought your fairness. All clout yet no tangible evidence till 600 years.”
