The most astoundingly complex embroidery designs, including fins, fronds, whorls, and waves, were created by more than 1,000 artists from Indian craft groups. According to the designer, he chooses them carefully in accordance with Gandhian principles of circular design and cultural sustainability.
He stated that a dress similar to the opening look might be produced 50 times, which is why the designer hopes to increase his team of artisans by a thousand fold—yes, that equals one million—in the upcoming years.
