The actress was surprised that the electoral umpire proceeded with the process despite video and photographic evidence of alleged fraud and electoral malpractices across the country.

Governors and politicians across the country have called for the cancellation of the 2023 presidential election due to allegations of widespread rigging and suppression of the true will of the people.

However, the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, declared Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the winner of the polls in the early hours of Wednesday.

Yakubu stated that Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes, defeating his closest rivals and PDP candidates Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP, who received 6,984, 520 and 6,101,533, respectively.

“When some people say ‘my vote doesn’t count ‘ this is what they mean. With videos and pictures in polling units across Nigeria, we’re still here,” tweeted one user.

“This should not deter anyone. As we can see, a New Nigeria is possible.”
