Precious Okoye wins Miss Africa 2022 beauty pageant

Precious Okoye, a Nigerian model, has won the Miss Africa 2022 beauty pageant, which was held in Calabar, Cross River State, glamsquad reports.

Precious won the title on Tuesday, beating out Poelano Mothisi of Lesotho as first runner-up and Tina Haimbala of Namibia as second runner-up.

The event, which took place on December 27, 2022, featured over 20 contestants and numerous dignitaries from Africa and beyond.

 

Precious became the first Nigerian to win the Miss Africa Calabar title.

Precious expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone, including supporters, her family, fellow contestants, and organizers, for helping to make her dreams come true.

“I am overwhelmed to be crowned Miss Africa, as this has always been my dream for my modeling career,” she said. The platform will allow me to tell my story, empower youths, and proudly fly my country’s flag, and I can’t wait to do my best to make you all proud.”
