Veteran Nigerian music producer, Olumide Ogunade, popularly known as ID Cabasa, has written to late singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan, to inform him about music duo, PSquare’s reconciliation.
Sharing Sound Sultan’s picture on his Instagram page on Friday, the producer wrote, “Hey Lanre, P-Square are back.”
This comes just after the popular singing twin brothers, Paul and Peter Okoye, performed together for the first time in five years, following their conflict that resulted in the disbandment of their group, P-Square.
Sound Sultan died of throat cancer in July 2021, and during his memorial ceremony, his brother, Dare ‘Baba Dee,’ urged the Okoyes to resolve their feud as a mark of respect for the late artist.
Baba Dee had remarked that Sound Sultan had introduced him to P-Square as he implored the brothers to settle their feud.
Sound Sultan’s tribute event also led to the reunion of the members of the now-defunct music group, Plantashun Boiz, as 2Baba, Black Face, and Faze, were spotted together for the first time since their breakout over a decade ago.
With P-Square’s reconciliation, ID Cabasa deemed it fit to inform Sound Sultan of the new development.
