The protest has been the focus of media attention for the past week. Portable explained in a popular video on social media that he chose to participate in the 2020 #EndSARS demonstration because he was poor.
He pointed out that millionaires such as Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola do not join in protests.
They said that I joined the protest in 2020. It was then, poor thinking! Now that I have money, I am thinking like a wealthy person,” he said.
“Have you ever seen Otedola and Dangote protesting? You won’t see people like Dele Momodu. Better mind your business! I didn’t have money back then. I’m now thinking like a rich man.”
Recall that Portable had earlier announced that he won’t be joining the protest because he is financially comfortable.
Portable gained fame in 2021, following the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his hit single featuring Olamide and Poco Lee
