A bride yesterday attended a headcount of serving corps members with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in her wedding gown as her wedding date unfortunately clashes with that of the exercise.
According to a corp member who spoke with Vanguard on grounds of anonimitys, the head count was said to be an impromptu exercise carried out nationwide by the NYSC to detect ghost corp members.
“They informed us that the counting exercise will take place between Saturday and Sunday. The process was cumbersome, I went there early this morning but after all the queues , I was finally by evening.”
