As noted by People, the designer’s Spring 2020 show was open to the public, where tourists and NYC residents alike could view the models from the upper level of Rockefeller Plaza. Pete hit the runway wearing a white tank top (showing off his collection of tattoos), black backwards baseball hat, two-toned jeans, and an Alexander Wang belt.
Pete was definitely in good company at the show. Vogue reports that the SNL comedian was joined by several A-list models, including runway veterans Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber.
In an interview with WWD, an Alexander Wang spokesperson explained the overall vision for the Rockefeller location, saying: “As an American brand that is rooted in New York, Rockefeller Center represented the energy and the epicenter of New York City.”
It remains to be seen whether or not this was just a one-time occurrence for Pete, or if he’ll be hitting the runway again in the future. Who knows, maybe some Instagram spon-con, too—anything could happen.
