Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the founder of AMAA is dead

The founder of the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe is dead.

Peace Anyiam-Osigwe passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, on 9th January after a brief illness.

The sad news was confirmed by one or her associates, Zik Zulu, in a public statement.

On a Nollywood platform, Zulu wrote:

“Our President, Peace has passed. As at Saturday, she was reported to be in coma at Saint Nicholas.

But now her family has confirmed her transition.

May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace”.
