Ossai Ovie Success, the former aid of ex-Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has reacted to the N105 million donation music sensation Rema made to Christ Embassy in Benin, Edo State.
Glamsquad reported that while in his hometown, Rema visited Christ Embassy campground on Sapele Road during the church service and donated N105 million.
He shared how the church had been a lifeline for his family after his father’s passing, helping his mother set up a shop that sustained them through tough times.
Reacting to the news, Ossai Success expressed disappointment that the singer made the donation without first giving his life to God. He asserted that it is displeasing to God for anyone to give money to the church without being born again.
He warned that without surrendering to God, Rema’s generosity may be spiritually fruitless. Ossai added that giving to the church without being born again may not align with God’s will, as God seeks our hearts and souls, not our wealth.
He wrote,
“It’s disappointing that Rema donated N105m to Christ Embassy without giving his life to God
It would be disappointing to God for anyone to give money to his church without being born again.
While Rema’s N105m donation to Christ Embassy is a commendable gesture, it would be spiritually futile if he hadn’t surrendered his life to God.
Giving to the church without being born again may not resonate with God, as He desires our hearts and souls, not just our wealth.
I applaud Rema’s generosity and willingness to support the gospel, but I hope he recognizes the eternal significance of surrendering his life to God.
The talents and resources God bestows upon us are meant to be used for His glory and to win souls for His kingdom.
With the kingdom of darkness actively seeking to claim souls, it’s crucial we utilise every opportunity and gift to bring people to God.
The most valuable offering we can present to God is our lives, surrendered to Him in devotion and service.
May Rema’s donation be a step towards a deeper spiritual commitment, and may his talents be used to further God’s kingdom.
