Osimhen not only won it with Napoli this time, but he was also instrumental in the Partenopei’s success.
In 27 league games this season, the 24-year-old has scored 22 goals and supplied four assists.
The striker is currently in contention to become the first African to win the Serie A Golden Boot.
The Nigeria international has surpassed Samuel Eto’o’s previous record for the most goals scored by an African player in a Serie A season.
Osimhen is also the joint-highest African goalscorer in Serie A history (46 goals).
