Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II has made his very first public appearance with his new wife, Mariam Anako.
In Ile-Ife, Osun State, the couple attended the yearly Olojo Festival.
As several groups paid respect to the Ooni during the ritual, the new Yeyeluwa of Ife, who was attired in white like her husband, was seen interacting with him.
The interior minister, Rauf Aregbesola, and the deputy governor of Osun State, Benedict Alabi, among others, were also in attendance.
On Tuesday night, September 6th, his new wife, oil and gas executive Mariam Anako, was welcomed into the palace.
She was seen kneeling before the Ooni in images and videos as he bestows his blessing on her. The new Olori later took a seat next to the Ooni.
The Ooni’s in-laws were reported to have met with him at the family introduction on February 19, 2022.
There was no formal ceremony and it was private.
Additionally, it was said that the chalet where the former queen Naomi and her family had lived had undergone renovations.
