Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, also known as Olu Jacobs, was born on July 11, 1942, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria’s south-western area.

Though he was born in Ogun State, he was raised in Kano State, where his parents live. He attended Holy Trinity School in Kano for primary and secondary school, and then travelled to England to continue his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA), where he earned a degree in theatre arts.

He began his acting career as soon as he finished school, which required him to travel to different nations, allowing him to obtain much more experience, which has been really beneficial.

As previously said, Olu Jacobs began his work after his tertiary degree. Though he is actively involved in church activities, he acquired an interest in acting on his own and decided to pursue it, drawing inspiration from his role model, Hubert Ogunde.
