Nollywood mourns demise of veteran actor, Ayobami Olabiyi

Veteran Nollywood actor, Ayobami Mudashiru Olabiyi better known as Bobo B is dead.

According to reports, Abayomi passed away on Wednesday 16th October 2024 after a battle with illness that required his admission to the University College Hospital, UCH in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Reports also have it that before Ayobami passed away, he was unable to move or speak.

The chairman of the Oyo State Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Bose Akinola made the announcement in a statement late Wednesday.

“We announce the death of our TAMPAN National General Secretary, Chief Alhaji Musadshir Ayobami Olabiyi ‘Bobo B.’

“May God give entire TAMPAN members globally and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

His colleagues such as Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and others in the Yoruba movie industry took to social media to mourn him

Mr Latin described Ayobami’s death as a tremendous loss to the industry, noting that his dedication, leadership, and contributions left an indelible mark on the organization. He urged the public to keep his family in their thoughts during this difficult time and to offer them support and strength.

Glamsquad noted that Ayobami joins the lists of celebrities who have passed away in 2024.

Earlier this year, celebrities such as Zulu Adigwe, Amaechi Muonagor, Mr Ibu, Sisi Quadri,   as Sule Suebebe, Junior Pope, Jumoke Aderounmu, Big Larry,  Stella Ikwuegbu, and Onyeka Onwenu passed away.
