Glamsquad reports that Chiwetalu Agu, a Nollywood actor, has lamented the rise of corruption under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

According to Agu, Buhari stated that he would come to fight corruption until the end and put corruption in a very bad situation.
“However, when he arrived, money began to change hands.” Everything has gone bonkers. Integrity is no longer valued. I’ve given up on the regime. “In fact, what Buhari is doing is ‘rulership,’ not leadership,” he said.
The actor also explained why many Nollywood celebrities are endorsing politicians in the run-up to the 2023 general elections.
According to Agu, many of these actors and actresses have been bribed with money by politicians, which is why they are endorsing them.

He stated that he does not support politicians for financial gain.
Agu stated that endorsement was based on personal interest because politics was no longer a sanitized citizen’s profession.
According to him, a lot of things these days had to do with money, as it could sway people, lamenting that people are no longer patient.
“What matters is what money can do for them today, not tomorrow.” Nobody has patience when things are difficult. Integrity, morality, and conscience have all vanished. “What we are doing in Nigeria today irritates me,” Agu said.
