Nigerian Singer Mohbad Locked Up in Cyprus Prison

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji, popularly known as Mohbad, a Nigerian indigenous rapper, claims to be imprisoned in a Cyprus airport.

In the early hours of Saturday, the fast-rising rapper revealed the news in a short Instagram Story post.

As of the time of this report, the incident’s details are still unclear.

The musician was reportedly in the nation for a performance.

In the post, the musician alleged that the show’s promoter *f**cked him up”.

“I’ve been stucked at the Cyprus airport prison. The show promoter got me f**ked up.”

Mohbad began his professional music career in 2016 after becoming a social media sensation for freestyling hit tracks.

The rapper was signed to Naira Marley’s label, ‘Marlian Records,’ in January 2020, and has been pulling the strings ever since.

Shortly after joining the label, he released ‘Light,’ an extended play (EP) that received a lot of positive feedback.

In July of this year, he followed up the project with the release of his hit single, “Feel Good.”

In the song, produced by Niphkeys, Nigerian record producer, Mohbad chronicles his topsy-turvy journey before attaining wealth and fame.
