Jenni O, a Nigerian media figure, has stated that Wizkid is not the best lyricist, glamsquad reports
The OAP used his past two albums, Made In Lagos and More Love, Less Ego, to back up her claim that the singer lacks lyrical depth.
This was said on the most recent episode of her podcast, Jenni Speaks, which had singer Praiz as a guest.
“Wizkid is not a lyricist,” she stated. He’s not the best lyricist. Look at ‘Made In Lagos’ and ‘More Love, Less Ego,’ the albums he recently released. I’m not even going back to when he released his debut record. I’m particularly interested in these [final] two initiatives. And I feel like Wiz was telling us what he wanted to hear about these projects.”
Praiz stated that there is nothing wrong with musicians changing their sounds, and that what Wizkid is currently singing is what the majority of his fans want.
