Nigerian filmmaker, Otu Njama dies hours after mourning his colleague Biyi Bandele

Glamsquad reports that Otu Njama, a Nollywood filmmaker, has died.

Judith, his sister, confirmed the tragic incident to LIB, stating that Otu, who was in his thirties, died last night, August 9.

At around 9 p.m., he was discovered dead in his home in First Unity Estate in Badore, Ajah, Lagos state.

He was said to have seen his doctor, who told him his blood pressure was around 200 and told him he needed to rest, but he couldn’t because he had a show tomorrow, August 11.

 

He then went to his nearby bar and, after seeing his staff and eating, retired to his home, asking that no one disturb him. His body was discovered in his home hours later.

According to Judith, a drug was discovered in his apartment, and a Google search revealed that it was for high blood pressure. She claimed that her brother never informed her about his health problems.

 

Otu had joined the Nollywood community in mourning the death of his colleague, Biyi Bandele, on his Whatsapp status just yesterday morning, only for him to die later that day.
