Nigerian Activist, Sunday Igboho Celebrates 50th Birthday With Online Followers


Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has announced he will be celebrating his 50th birthday with his online followers, glamsquad reports.

Igboho in an Instagram post today, said he did not regret his struggle for the freedom of Yorubas.

The 49-uear old said he would select 50 of his followers on Instagram and send them money in celebration of his birthday.

He wrote; “The last one and half years have been so challenging, but I found consolation in the fact that it’s all in the quest to deliver and liberate my people, also that my people stood up that the struggle is for all the Yoruba race. My last year birthday met me in the custody of the authorities of Benin Republic where I was remanded, but all thanks to God Almighty and to some personalities that got me out.

“In the spirit of my birthday coming in few days, I will be choosing 50 lucky people to celebrate with from my online family. Selection will be random and without favoritism. They will be blessed each with the same amount. Lucky persons will be listed tomorrow.”

Sunday Igboho is unable to leave Benin Republic following his arrest last year while he was about to travel to Germany with his wife Ropo. His wife was released shortly after the arrest.

The self-determination activist gained prominence last year when he began spearheading the fight against herders who were allegedly perpetrating violence in the south-west.
