Social media is abuzz with fervent reactions and speculation about the rumored upcoming traditional wedding of Afrobeats sensation, Davido and his beautiful wife, Chioma.
According to blogger, Stella Dimoko Korkus, the couple would be getting married traditionally in the next two weeks, 25th June 2024 in Eko Hotel, Lagos State.
She also noted that there is excitement in both families as it would be an event that would bind them in love and strengthen family ties.
She wrote;

Singer Davido is set to wed Chioma, the mother of his twins in a proper traditional wedding ceremony set to hold at the Eko hotel in Lagos in 2 weeks time……

The Traditional wedding according to sources will hold on June Twenty fifth twenty twenty four……

The news has caused mixed feelings: some people are happy, while others are confused about why the traditional ceremony will be held in Lagos instead of Chioma’s father’s place in the East.
Supporters of the couple’s supposed decision argue that security concerns in the Eastern region influenced their choice, leading them to pick Lagos as a safer and more accessible place for their wedding.

Recall that in November 2022, Davido secretly tied the knot with Chioma after the death of their first son, Ifeanyi.
In January 2023, Davido finally paid Chioma’s bride price in full at Ezeala Odu, Imo state. Photos and videos posted online showed Chioma’s dad performing the Umunna and Umuada rites.
In an interview in March 2024, Davido confirmed his marriage, happily displaying his wedding ring. He shared with viewers that he got married during his break.
