Naomi Campbell Reveals her Favourite African designers

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is currently in Lagos for the ARISE Fashion week- a topnotch fashion event that showcases African fashion designers and the diversity in African fashion

Naomi had a chat with Mayeni Jones of BBC Africa where she talked about why she is involved in the ARISE Fashion week. She explained that there are a lot of talented designers in Africa, and she would like to see them make global headlines and be celebrated just like designers in the west.

Naomi also shared a recent experience where she was rejected for a campaign because of the colour of her skin.  She said that she was baffled when her picture was not used in the campaign because of her family “genes.”

The supermodel had this chat in Lagos where she is a guest at the ARISE Fashion Week. She has also walked for a couple of designers.
