Glamsquad recalls that Mr Macaroni endorsed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi as his preferred choice in November 2022, but made it clear that he would not participate in any political campaign.

On Wednesday, however, a Twitter user drew Macaroni’s attention to an Obi-Datti campaign flyer featuring his image.

“Thought @mrmacaronii said he wouldn’t be campaigning for any party,” the user said.

In response to the tweet, Macaroni, in a post shared on Twitter, distanced himself from the campaign flyer, claiming that his image was used without his permission.

“I’ll go over this again for clarity. Peter Obi is my preferred candidate, so I’m voting for him. I have a civic obligation to vote, but I am not required to campaign for him or any other politician. I have nothing against others who do so, but this was published without my permission.”

The news comes just weeks after Nigerian musician Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid, distanced himself from a rumored Obi concert.
