Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has revealed what many tag as a shock about her marriage to billionaire businessman and politician, Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko better known as Ned Nwoko.
In an TikTok live session with her friends, Regina recounted how her mother and family were against her marriage to her 63-year-old husband, Ned Nwoko.
The mother of two shut down claims that she had no choice in marrying Ned Nwoko, revealing she had over 20 boyfriends at the time and was actually visiting one when she met Ned.
“I was going to visit my boyfriend, I was so angry, I was like mum, ‘Why do we all need to go visit and go sightseeing?’. But when we got there, we met a cute man. Moral of the story: Your boyfriend should not stop you from finding your husband.
She advised ladies not to let boyfriends stand in the way of meeting their future husbands, hinting that she’ll one day share her full, unfiltered story.
When I saw him with my husband, I forgot I was supposed to have a boyfriend. At that time, I had like 20 boyfriends. All serving different purposes. When people think I didn’t have a choice or my mum forced me, not knowing that my mum was against it. My full family said No, but one day, I am going to share our story”.
Regina Daniels surprised the internet in April 2019 by marrying politician Ned Nwoko, 38 years her senior. Reflecting on her choice, Regina revealed that her “stubborn” nature led her to marry an older man so she could learn to be more submissive. Ned clarified that, contrary to rumors, he hadn’t met her through her mother; they fell in love and tied the knot within just three weeks.
This May, the couple celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary with a photoshoot, sharing heartfelt reflections. Regina described their five-year journey as remarkable and filled with love, while Ned called it good and eventful, hinting that they’re only just beginning.
