Alebiosu said in a new interview with BBC Yoruba that he was just doing his job as an actor and had no idea the incantations he was reciting would come back to haunt him in real life.

“I had no idea there was so much more to the incantations I was performing.” I thought I was just saying my lines, not realizing there would be consequences. When I returned home after the act, I would dream of strange beings, some of which would transform into goats and begin biting me.”

The actor warned aspiring actors who want to play such characters to be wary of the consequences and to be prayerful.
