Lynn Forbes, the mother of late South African rapper, Kiernan Forbes, also known as AKA has paid an emotional tribute to her son, two weeks after his demise.
Glamsquad reported that AKA was gunned down on his birthday, 10th February 2023 in front of a restaurant, alongside his former manager who is also a celebrity chef, Tebello ‘Tibz’Motsoane. Read here
Lynn took to her Instagram page on Friday, 24th February 2, 2023, she shared a photo of herself standing over her son’s casket at his funeral which was held last weekend.

“Oh my heart…The last two weeks have been surreal, more specifically the mornings. Waking up every morning, being reminded that this nightmare will never end, is the most excruciating pain I have ever felt. My heart is shattered into millions of pieces. I love you Kiernan”.
There has been no arrest of any suspect after two weeks of his death.
Meanwhile, Police Minister in South Africa, Bheki Cele announced in the past week that Brigadier Vele Cele has been appointed to head up the murder investigation. He was instrumental in tracking down Luyanda Botha in 10 days following the murder of 19-year-old UCT student Mrwetyana.
