Nigerian singer Modupe Oreoluwa Oyeyemi, popularly known as Mo’Cheddah, has shed some light on her marital life, revealing that her friends used to mock her and tag her “Lord of the Rings” for dating her husband for more than ten years.
The Destinambari crooner made this revelation during the Tea With Tay podcast. She said ‘Lord of the Rings’’ was her nickname for a while because she chose to stick with her husband for so long.
Mo’Cheedah also revealed that she met her husband at the age of 17. The mother of one said Wizkid’s former manager Osagie introduced her to her husband, though she was fully focused on her career at the time.

She would further talk about the relevance of meeting her husband at the time she did because he taught her how to be happy without seeking public validation.
The pair would go on to have a private wedding, which Mo’Cheedah disclosed was held with mobile phones restricted.
“I started dating when I was 17. I met my husband through music, Osagie introduced us, though at that time, I didn’t want to date,’’ the songstress narrated.
“They use to call me ‘Lord of the Rings’ because we dated for so long. That was my nickname at some point.
“When I got to know myself, I was happy in real life. That’s what my husband taught me. I didn’t need to show people that I was happy. Didn’t need their validation,’’ she pointed out.
Speaking further, Mo’Cheedah noted that she is a very private person.
“I love my private life and I don’t share it. There was no phone at my wedding. We weren’t living together before we got married and we have been together for 10years.’’

In May 2018, the singer married Prince Bukunyi Olateru Olagbegi in a private ceremony.The marriage is blessed with a daughter who was born in 2021.
