Miss World 2021, which was scheduled to take place in Puerto Rico, was postponed at the last minute after 23 contestants tested positive for COVID-19.
The global broadcast finale has been postponed, according to the organizers, due to the participants’, staff’s, crew’s, and general public’s health and safety concerns.
The finale will be rescheduled for the next 90 days at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot, according to a statement released late Thursday.

”After meeting with the virologists and medical experts hired to oversee the Miss World 2021 event and discussing with the Puerto Rico Health Department, the decision has been made by the organizers of the event to postpone the globally broadcast finale at the Puerto Rico Coliseum Jose Miguel Agrelot to be held within the next 90 days”, part of the statement read.
