Chidinma Adetshina has arrived in Mexico to represent Nigeria in the Miss Universe 2024 international pageantry.
In a collaboration post on Instagram, Miss Universe Nigeria arrived in Mexico to a warm welcome, gearing up for the prestigious event.
Chidimma radiated elegance in a stunning outfit by Nigerian designer Maryam Elisha, adorned in colors inspired by the Nigerian flag, showcasing her national pride.
The post, warmly captioned in Spanish, read:
“Hola, México! Tu reina está aquí! From Nigeria, we send our brightest wishes and unwavering support with you, Chidinma!”
“May the vibrant spirit of our nation shine through you as you step onto this international stage. Represent us with pride, strength, and grace—knowing that all of Nigeria stands beside you. Bring home the crown!”
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant is set for November 16, 2024, at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, where the reigning Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, will pass on the crown to her successor.
Glamsquad recalls that two months ago, Chidinma emerged winner of Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
This comes after she stepped down from the Miss South Africa contest despite being a Top 11 Finalist after the South African Department of Home Affairs accused her mother of potential fraud and identity theft and backlash from South Africans.
It is worth noting that Chidimma has roots stretching across the continent. She was born in Soweto’s Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in 2001. Her father is of Igbo descent from Nigeria, while her mother, a Mozambican, is now a naturalized South African citizen.
Following the controversy, she was invited by the organisers of Miss Universe Nigeria to participate in the 2024 beauty pageant which she won.
