Microsoft’s new Windows 11 Task Manager makeover is now being tested as a secret feature on the “Developer” channel preview build 22538, giving the built-in utility tool a new look.

According to Bleeping Computer, the Task Manager, which has long been regarded as one of the most important utility tools on Windows, is now getting a much-needed redesign.
To the uninitiated, the Task Manager displays the CPU and memory use of the presently running apps. The built-in program also has God-like abilities, allowing users to stop processes with a single click.
Not to add that it contains a tool that allows users to handle the majority of startup apps on Windows.
It essentially grants users access to all of the processes that are currently operating on their Windows PCs.
Although the built-in app on Windows receives minor upgrades on a regular basis, the Task Manager has yet to gain a modern makeover.
Task Manager Redesign
According to XDA-Developers, one of the most notable enhancements in the current preview release of Windows 11 is the new look of the Task Manager. Aside from that, there are no other noteworthy changes in the most recent release.
The built-in utility app’s hidden new Fluent Design design gets a more current user interface, which some may claim is cleaner than the previous version.
It is crucial to note, however, that the latest version of the Windows Task Manager is not a complete redesign of the app, but there are significant design changes that significantly refresh the entire experience.
The new design offers the built-in software the same Mica transparent style as Windows 11.
Furthermore, the Task Manager revamp, like the new Windows 11 Notepad, adds Dark Mode compatibility to the utility tool, which has been a design trend for years.
Furthermore, the tabs have been replaced by a sidebar, giving it an appearance that Windows users are used to because it is consistent with other apps.

According to a Twitter user going by the handle FireCube, who also revealed the new design of Task Manager, the latest version of the utility software is only accessible for users running Windows 11 build 22538.
However, preview build users will need to install ViveTool to access these hidden features.
