Michelle Obama & Julia Roberts Team Up In Vietnam To Empower Girls

Michelle Obama called upon support from Julia Roberts for her latest trip to Asia. Not only do the two high-profile women make quite the dream team but they’re both invested in helping to educate young girls across the world. Is it any wonder, then, that the duo teamed up to spend a day teaching girls in a school in Vietnam?

Working with Global Girls Alliance, which is part of The Obama Foundation, Roberts and Obama visited Cần Giuộc high school. Taking to Instagram, Obama shared her delight in gaining the opportunity which also involved actor Lana Candor. “What an incredible day in Vietnam! I visited Cần Giuộc high school to meet members of the @GirlsOpportunityAlliance community who are working hard to pursue their education and achieve their dreams. Thankfully, they’re not alone: local leaders from @RoomtoRead provide crucial support to help these girls stay in school and prepare for their futures so they can become the women they’re meant to be.”
