Renowned Nollywood actress and film producer, Mercy Johnson Okojie, has addressed the concerns following a video she shared on her Instagram page recently.
The mother of four uploaded a video on her Instagram showing her in a prisoner’s outfit, handcuffed, and being escorted by a man portraying a prison guard.
Alongside the video, she included a heartfelt caption highlighting the anguish of being wrongfully accused.
She wrote:
“Make God no let you see accusation wey be lie but you nor go fit defend yourself…. Hmmm.”
“Sometimes there s no iota of truth in the rumours. Trust is earned when words meet action.”
Because of Mercy Johnson’s disturbing behavior in the video, some online users believed it was real and went to the comments section to express their concern.
Initially, an Instagram user known as @kene_cee, who comprehended the situation, wrote: “Facebook people will be like, Mercy Johnson got arrested and sent to jail for. ”
Responding, Mercy Johnson wrote: “Lie wey dey Facebook na gwo gwo gwo.”
Another user, misunderstanding the context of the post, began to express panic, which in turn caught the attention of Mercy Johnson.
The netizen identified as emmiautos wrote: “Please tell me this is not true but a recorded video.”
In reaction, Mercy Johnson clarified saying: “@emmiautos it’s a movie. ”
