On January 24, 2025, Onyedikachukwu will face charges for allegedly failing to pay Chinwo’s due share of music royalties from the singer’s online platforms and concerts.
The Commission, in an affidavit supporting the application, explained that Mercy Chinwo had written a petition against the manager.
According to the EFCC, its efforts to arrest him have been unsuccessful, prompting the application for an arrest warrant.
Justice Alexander Owoeye, however, granted the application on Thursday
Glamsquad recalls that Chinwo was signed to EeZee Conceptz record label owed by Onyedikachukwu in 2017, after winning the second edition of the Nigerian Idol.
It was widely reported in September 2022, that Mercy left the record label due to a disagreement over financial matters.
