According to Meghan’s half sister, Thomas Markle is avoiding his daughter’s docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
She claims that their father is more concerned with his health than the project, which she calls “disrespectful.”
In an interview with TMZ, Samantha Markle said she’s protecting her father by telling him not to watch the new documentary, claiming Meghan has previously kicked Thomas while he was down and that a series like this just further disrespects their family.
Samantha claims Thomas has no idea what is in the series and has no need to find out.
She doubts he’d want to watch because the royal family scandal has been detrimental to his health for some time. Most importantly, he is still recovering from a stroke that he had earlier this year.
The Netflix series focuses on the Duke and Duchess’ experiences, from their first date to leaving the royal family to dealing with racist British headlines.
It also includes their perspective on the conflict with Thomas before their wedding, which he infamously skipped. Even Harry expresses his wife’s loss of her father as being “incredibly sad.”
While Thomas has accepted the distance, Samantha claims it has always been Meghan‘s choice for him to be absent from her life. She claims that despite his acceptance, Thomas still feels numb about it.
