Nigerian upcoming reggae singer Godwin Chinedu popularly known as BCODE love as at a early age in church, after graduating from the University decided to come into the music industry. The talented artiste gave a short biography about himself. Read below:
EARLY LIFE
Born, Nzekwe Godwin Chinedu in Lagos,Nigeria, on september 20th 1991
• He hails from Orlu in Imo state Nigeria. Bcode grew up in Coker Aguda, Surulere Lagos Nigeria • “He is the last of Nine children,” The late Bcode mother later recalled, “the only one who didn’t give me any pain when I gave birth to him, and that’s how I knew he was a special child.”
• He attended his primary education in Lagos, while his secondary education was in a boarding school in far away Government college,Afaha Eket,Akwa ibom state, Nigeria
• He studied petroleum engineering in Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO).Graduated in 2014 • He started Music professionally in 2008.
• He is a Recording artist, singer , song-writer and performer, He plays the Konga drums.
MUSIC CAREER
Bcode started with rap at a very young age, now he is an Afropop singer but very versatile with different musical genres
• while in secondary school he and two of his friends formed a group called the “Team”, This group parted ways when they left secondary school, but his love for music did not end with the group.
• In 2006 while waiting for his WAEC result ; He started writing music and performing often at friends party, trying to get a record deal.
• He started music professionally in 2008 Around the same time,he was signed to Paparazzi records. • There was a break in between so that he can focus on his academics , He came back actively in 2013 with His first single titled Rollercoaster with a music video which was directed by Patrick Elis
He is Presently Managed by Zabriels, who have taken the helm of this career since 2014
• He released his second single “lemme know” in february 2015 which is directed by the sensational music director Toyin Lawani (Tiana Empire).
• He performed his singles at the Royhill Fashion shoes(2013),Performed at the Broadcasters merit award night in Ibadan(2014) and also Performed at the Vela Alora wine launch (2014).
