JW Anderson was started by Northern Irish fashion designer Jonathan Anderson. Aside from running his own brand, Anderson is also recognized for having worked as the creative director of Spanish luxury brand LOEWE.
For Manuela Pavesi, Anderson’s first job was as a visual merchandiser for Prada. Soon later, in 2008, he debuted his own line of menswear. Critical praise was given to his first release under the JW Anderson banner. The Newton committee of the British Fashion Council sponsored Anderson in 2010, and he later created his debut runway collection for London Fashion Week.
The burgeoning popularity of Anderson’s JW Anderson brand made it possible for him to land a second NewGen sponsorship, which resulted in a partnership with high-street retailer Topshop in 2012. The JW Anderson x Topshop collection was the result of the partnership and was made up of only a few products.
It contained a variety of stationery, iPhone cases, Rubik cubes, mini-kilts, paisley designs, and Halloween-themed clothes and accessories. Within hours of its debut, the collection was completely sold out. Another collaboration between Anderson and Topshop was slated to debut a year from now in February 2013.
Loewe Spring Summer 2023 Ready To Wear Collection were beautifully displayed at the Paris Fashion Week and it was everything we expected and more.
