Being a child star wasn’t easy because, in addition to working long hours on set and missing out on some typical childhood experiences, many young actors had to worry about maintaining their careers after saying goodbye to the iconic roles that made them famous.
While some former child stars chose to leave the spotlight and pursue careers outside of the entertainment industry, others completely transformed their careers and became even more famous than they were before.
However, whether they are still acting or are busy with other productive endeavors, their fans are always curious about what they are up to and how they have changed over the years.
We compiled a list of Nollywood stars who began as child actors, and here are some of your favorite child actors today.
Regina Daniels
Regina made her first debut in Nollywood in 2010 at age 9 and became a sensation where she starred in ‘Miracle Child’. She has appeared in over 150 Nollywood films to her credit.
She began as a child, but the teen actress has matured into a lovely young lady who is now married to Nigerian billionaire Senator Ned Nwoko. She is currently a Mass Communication student at Igbinedion University in Okada, Edo State.

Sharon Ezeamaka
Sharon rose to prominence as a child star for her role in the TV drama series ‘Dear Mother,’ in which she portrayed a curious daughter. ‘Doris My Love,’ among other films, featured her.

William Uchemba
William, who began his career at a young age, was one of Nollywood’s most popular child stars in the 1990s. He possesses undeniable acting talent, which translates into strong emotions, as he can make a sad movie scene make you cry. He is currently the African Youth Representative to the United Nations.
He made a big comeback (not to the movie industry) after a long break from Nollywood (probably because he needed to focus on growing up) and has won the hearts of many with his funny Instagram skits.
