Lionel Messi of Argentina has defeated Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappe, Max Verstappen, Stephen Curry, and other top stars to win the Champion of Champions award, glamsquad reports.
L’Equipe, a popular French sports newspaper, presented the award.
Lionel Messi has won the award for the first time, following his success with Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Messi ranked higher than Mbappe in the rankings, with 808 points to the Frenchman’s 381.
Mbappe was followed by tennis legend Rafael Nadal, who finished third with 285 points, and Belgian cyclist Remco Evenopoel, who finished fourth.
F1 superstar Max Verstappen, ranked fifth.
