Reeves Said a Few Words About the Metaverse

During the interview, Keanu Reeves stated, “Can we just not have metaverse be like founded by Facebook?” In addition, Facebook is putting a lot of effort into building the metaverse, even rebranding the firm to Meta while doubling down on their version of the metaverse, but Reeves isn’t thrilled with what the company is doing.

When the conversation moved on to other tech-related issues, Reeves gave his thoughts on NFTs as well. In addition, when questioned about the upcoming $50 Matrix NFTs from Warner Bros., the hero of The Matrix was asked what he feels about digital scarcity and products that cannot be replicated.

Keanu Reeves’ Opinion on NFTs

According to Mashable, Reeves interrupted, stating “that are easily replicated” before laughing, possibly in reference to the capacity for individuals to right-click save images connected with NFTs.

When it came to a more spicy topic, bitcoin, Reeves revealed that he did hold some unidentified cryptocurrency, sarcastically remarking “I have a little HODL.” In other words, it appears that Reeves is not opposed to decentralized technologies like cryptocurrency in general, or to the metaverse in particular. This is only true if Facebook keeps out of it.

The Resurrected NEO

Many people are wondering how Neo was resurrected for the upcoming film, which purportedly takes place 18 years after his death, according to DailyMail.co.uk. Reeves stated that when the filmmaker asked him what he thought about doing another Matrix film, he answered it sounded fantastic, but he was dead.

Reeves stated that the director inquired, “Are you?” to which he responded by asking her to share the continuation of the story, which he described as lovely. The Matrix star revealed that he enjoyed playing the character while assuring fans that the mystery of his survival will be revealed.
