On Saturday, March 25, the 33-year-old actor was arrested on suspicion of assault, strangulation, and harassment against a woman in a New York apartment.

He is said to have been involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman, though Majors’ representative denied any wrongdoing on his behalf.

At around 11 a.m., police responded to a 911 call inside an apartment in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.

“The victim reported being assaulted to police.” Officers apprehended the 33-year-old man without incident.

“The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition,” said an NYPD spokesperson in a statement.

As of Saturday night, he was no longer in police custody, an NYPD spokesperson confirmed to The Associated Press.

Majors, who appears in the upcoming Creed III, was seen leaving a New York City courthouse after being charged with assault.

The actor was seen leaving the criminal court wearing a baseball hat that said “Freedom Freedom.”

In pictures obtained by the Daily Mail, he was surrounded by several security guards and police officers as he walked out of the courthouse.

Carrie Gordon, a representative for Majors, told the Los Angeles Times, “He has done nothing wrong.” We are looking forward to clearing his name and putting this behind us.”

The alleged victim had “visible injuries,” including a laceration behind her ear, redness, and marks on her face, according to a source who spoke with TMZ after the alleged assault.

Majors is one of Hollywood’s newest rising stars.

He most recently appeared as Kang in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantamania alongside Paul Rudd, and he is rumored to appear in Loki’s upcoming second season opposite Tom Hiddleston.

Majors has also appeared in the HBO drama Lovecraft Country and the 2021 western The Harder They Fall.
