Make-up in Nigeria Conference A gathering of industry shapers

It was one of the biggest gathering of stakeholders in the make-up and beauty industry in Nigeria, as the first ever Make-up in Nigeria Conference held recently in Lagos. The show which held at the Oriental hotels, Victoria Island Lagos, proved a great success, with a large crowd of industry professionals, educators, icons and young aspiring make up artists, coming together under one roof to hear why now is an exciting time to become a permanent make-up artist.   
Giving   her opening remarks Teniolami Adejuwon Project Manager of the MINC said the objective of the event was to ensure that participants leave the event empowered as Makeup Professionals, “Inspired to achieve greater exploits and stimulated to grow your business to the next level. MINC is the authority platform in the Nigerian Makeup industry for learning, sharing, inspiration and connection; all with the intent of birthing a stronger andformidable Nigeria Makeup Industry.” She said.
Speakers at the event included; Host for the show; Tara Fela-Durotoye, Mr. Idy Enang, Mr. Bayo Babalola Haastrup, Bimpe Onakoya, Bolanle Okusanya Feyita,. Others included Khuraira Musa, founder of the Khuraira cosmetics who stole the show with her interesting and utterly motivating presentation, Lola Maja Okojevoh, Eni Balogun, Joy Adenuga, Bunmi Oyeniyi, Mrs. Funmi Olurinola. There was also a guest from the States and fellow industry educator, Mrs. Buntricia Bastian, and the leading voice in Nigeria’s social media space and pioneer of Social Media Week Nigeria, Mr. Obi Asika.  They all shared with the audience their wealth of knowledge, experience and the secrets that will take artistry and business venture to the next level. Participants got the chance to learn first hand, trends to be aware of, so as  to stay ahead in this industry, skill-set to possess and the bestpractices they must learn to be  prime movers in this industry, as well as how to  translate their passion/talents into a successful and  profitable business.
From the keynote speeches, the business classes, the panel segment and the different masterclasses, there wassomething for everyone to learn and take home.
