The creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli showcased the collection in a city he loves most for its cultural diversity, energy, and buzz which are some of the features portrayed in his collection.

The Valentino Cruise Resort collection is a tribute to New York downtown. The cruise collection which involves traveling and exploring the world was revealed in a place whose features were portrayed in his collection. The collection made use of different types of fabrics, designs, and also pastel colors.
Lines, from fine to bold, in zig-zags or unconventional pinstripes were highlighted in the collection. The coat dresses were another highlight to munch on in the Valentino Cruise collection. Black, turquoise, white, and shades of green were some of the colors showcased in the collection. The collection also made use of studded bags to give it a stylish look.
