Lookbook: Marques’Almeida Spring Summer Ready To Wear Collection

Marques’Almeida Spring Summer Ready To Wear Collection were beautifully displayed by creative Directors Paulo Almeida and Marta Marques.

The first two styles, a yellow popcorn-textured dress topped with a red croc-stamped bra and accented with black-and-white striped boots, immediately made their parallels clear. The pink-and-red checkered coat was worn with yellow studded shoes that had black ruffle embellishments. Even though the styling was a little extravagant, it was clear that everyone was enjoying getting dressed.

Marques and Almeida’s whimsical silhouettes and striking color schemes have always been on the side of fun. This season, the fact that several of the models strutted down the catwalk alongside young children wearing their recently released children’s collection served to cement that impression.

There were many color combinations of wood grain-like texture, acid-washed denim, and leopard prints. The children’s clothing featured many of the same materials, but in silhouettes that were suitable for their ages.

A model carried a baby while wearing a purple zebra-like tunic, along with purple and pink leopard jeans and yellow crocs, and held the hand of a toddler while wearing a popcorn pink hoodie and a lime-green and pink wood grain print skirt. Another model wore an oversized white T-shirt with an oversized metal eyelet detail at the chest, paired with lime green acid-washed jeans. Everything was incredibly adorable.
