Lookbook: Khaite Spring Summer 2023 Ready To Wear Collection

Khaite Spring Summer 2023 RTW collection were one of the designs displayed at the New York fashion week. Creative director, Catherine Holstein gave it her all.

She put out her tried-and-true combination of sequins, silk fringe, leather, and denim for the spring. She was watching David Lynch movies from the 1990s, especially Wild at Heart, and there was a lot of python print.

Holstein used the python pattern to stamp leather for oversized bombers and pencil skirts as well as silk charmeuse for a voluminous peasant dress. Nicolas Cage’s character wears the jacket in the film.

Their crystal-embroidered shirt, mesh bustier, and horsehair-reinforced waistbands all sat at the tops of the hip bones. Those outfits had a cool attitude thanks to the low waistlines; they were polished but not pretentious.
