This season, he incorporates elements of his surfing heritage (his constant inspiration) with a sultry energy inspired by Sigourney Weaver’s character in “Alien,” as seen in the scuba-like textures and ripple-like ruching—across the sleeves of blazers, coursing asymmetrically through maxis, and on every inch of an extremely desirable stringy white mini.
As usual, almost every piece is cut in fabrics that have been repurposed or upcycled.
Being a devoted surfer himself, he focused on his attention on the wet look considering the fact that a woman is most attractive when emerging from the water.
There were lots of columnar or softly draped dresses with open backs, as well as one-shouldered shirts and leggings that resembled scuba gear with tiny cut-outs at the waistline. The easiness of the pieces belied the level of technical ability required to make them.
